    No fuel being pumped

Thanks for all the help and recommendations. I swapped the pump, reconnected the fuel lines and she fired right up. So it wasn't the carbs, fuel lines, or tank which is a relief. I currently have a Carter pump a buddy loaned me till my Summit parts arrive tomorrow. A few more tweaks and checks...

    No fuel being pumped

No it's a 440, found the rod. Got a buddies extra pump, going to put it on and test it out. What a pain to get this guy back on (fat fingers). the Edelbrock I removed, I opened up and everything seems fine. I'm going to test it as recommended above with air and working the lever. Maybe it's...

    No fuel being pumped

So I removed the Pump last night and didn't see any visual indications of it being all gunked up. Is there a way to test it now that I have it sittin on my bench?. Also, how do I get the fuel pump rod out. It didn't fall out when I removed the pump, how far up is it?

    No fuel being pumped

"I would get about 6 feet of 5/16 hose and a can of fresh gas, attached right at the pump. If it will pull gas from the can and run the engine your problem is in the line going all the way back to the tank." I did this with no gas being pumped. which is why it makes me think its the pump. How...

    No fuel being pumped

Sorry in advance for a probable simple Dilema. I am military and just got back to Hawaii from a six month deployment. My car (a 440 Duster) has been sitting in the garage covered the entire time. I cannot start it or get my fuel pump to pump gas. This is the basic stuff I have checked so far: 1...

    440 starter

I just replaced my ebay cheapo-mini starter yesterday with a mini starter from a dodge dakota, it was very easy to do. I was surprised at how simple it was, no interference to remove or any issues with the swap!

My '72 440 six pack duster build

I decided to go with the Classic Green, I always loved this color on Muscle cars. We later installed a fiberglass lift off hood a buddy hooked me up with because the other snorkel hood I had would not fit the 6 pack under it. I did all the body work, and my buddies helped me spray the final...

I pulled every bracket off, sandblasted and repainted and added some goodies to the block. It was an awesome experience building it, I have some pretty knowledgable friends who helped me along the way. I replaced and refurbed just about everything. I installed Stealth Heads, KB pistons, Eagle...

The 440 had some power but it definitely needed some work, It was a '72 HP block. I originally was going to only replace the cam and run a Six-Pack setup. Once I pulled the block, I decided to go all out and rebuild the entire engine. Here are a few pics of the block when I pulled it.

My '72 440 six pack duster build

I have had a few other classics that I purchased in the past that were either completely restored or customized to the point that I was scared to touch it in fear of ruining it. I have always loved Mopars and liked the A-bodies the best. I decided to sell my other cars and go with a classic...
