Well over 600 hp back in the early 80's. It's not a new thing.

Geezz no to the factory springs. Toss them quickly. I just keep max lift to .525 and nothing's close to contact. The gross lift means nothing.

Like wide lash cams are terrible and fast rate cams make more. It's a joke from someone who's worked in the business. Others(most) just wing it.

Is this a lock up or non lockup unit. If its non lockup I'd buy the input shaft and pump. Let me know.

Kinda funny folks getting excited by running 13's with a solid lifter cam. I ran low 12's with a 272 crane baby hyd. The combo and the guy tuning it makes a world of difference.
