you said you have another coronet project. The duster is more practical as a daily, you just need to maintain it. Why have two projects when you can have one?
This trans came with a car i purchased and I won't be needing it.
I was told by the PO that it works. I don't know the year for sure but I think it might be 68.
The pan was pulled for inspection and it looked very clean. I don't have a torque converter for it.

It looks like I need to thin things down a bit for space reasons. Here are the details.
Body is pretty good but paint is pretty much crap. It had a crappy paint job done by a PO years back and has no rust coming back in the quarters. There are a couple small spots on it but nothing much...
I got it out. Sometimes you just have to go back when you are in a more patient mood to finish the job. I'm glad to hear that it is one of the more tricky clusters, now I don't feel so inadequate. I was able to get everything off except the alt. gauge wires which I disconnect after wiggling...
the steering column is dropped.... it won't come out far enough to see anything.... i can reach behind but i don't know what i am feeling.... i will go back and mess some more........
Hey guys - what's the trick to the the instrument cluster out. Is it reaching behind to undo the spedo cable? There must be a trick. Can anyone help????? thanks

Anyway, the hot wire to the distributor is getting hot (hopefully not damaged because was starting to melt!). I would assume the ballast resister needs...
