just look at the clearances on an LS engine. everything is tighter then a nun's asshole. also, look at oiling system & take a closer look at the pistons they use. if one tried to run clearances like that on a LA block it'll fry itself pretty fast. bottom line, you can beAt on a 500+hp 427cid...

the Chev LS series is a far cry from 40+ year old designed mopar smallblock. I wouldn't compare the two.

or one can go shorter rods/ longer skirt piston. lots of options out there.

for years and years and years nobody gave a second thought about oil filters. either we: 1. changed them every other oil change 2. changed them every oil change there didn't seem to be a problem with either method. now people are making WAY to big of a deal outta them. additives...

which leads to the obvious question. if they could make 100% synthetic fuel in 1943, then why not today? I'm sure the oil companies would loose billions.. becouse independant companies all over would be making it. look up the patents on synthetic fuels worldwide. and who owns them..you'll see...

banana oil, polyolesters, & diesters. not really synthetic oil as compared to today. more like a different type of oil. the Germans however did make 100% synthetic fuels.
