    Intake/Exhaust Gasket Help

IMHO, the most important step is to match / surface the manifolds after they're bolted together. I was replacing gaskets every few months until I did mine. Was still holding with no leaks years later until I swapped in the v8

    [FOR SALE] 4-speed Pedals

Looks like early pedals. I had them in my Duster for a while. Just what you see in the picture. Brake, clutch, and the carrier. I know this isn't a complete setup ( bushings and such ) but I used all of my auto setup with this. Retainer, bushings and clips are all the same. Boxed and ready to...

    Common OBDII codes after swap

well $*&^...now you've got me thinking..I don't have a plug for a 4th o2 sensor.. thought it was 2 pre cat ( one in each side of the y pipe ) and one post cat. I've got some digging to do. As for the VSS, I have a cable speedo unit in the back of the trans now, but I still have the electric...

    Common OBDII codes after swap

Yes, We're talking about 5.9L swap and what specific codes people have after a magnum swap, not what do codes mean. I can look those up all day long on google. Wouldn't limp mode make it not shift? or is there more than one kind of limp mode? I have all 3 o2 sensors installed. One on each side...

    5.9 magnum swap

I love the carb air cleaner I have on mine, folks scratch their heads...then I point to the injector rail and the funny looks continue :) I've said it before and I'll say it again. If I'd have known how easy it really was, I'd have done it years ago. I love fuel injection. Congrats!

    Common OBDII codes after swap

I finally got around to adding in the ODBII port to pull the codes just to see if anything was amiss. Here's what I got: P0500 -- No vehicle speed sensor output -- No problem, no sensor at the rear end P0144 -- 02 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank I Sensor 3) P0147 -- O2 Sensor Heater Circuit...

    1973 Dart Magnum Swap

Can I use the stock harness and PCM from the ram? Yes, if the Ram doesn't have a security PCM, if it does, you'll need to send it out to someplace to get it flashed to remove the security feature ( guy out of Lantana FL does it ) What about relays/fuses? Yes, The wiring will be a lot easier if...

Magnum serpentine belt diagram and pic

I run a van pump bracket and was able to keep the stock battery tray. The bracket puts the pump just a tad downward. Works like a champ.

The life of a Magnum (and 46RE question)

I agree, I've had 3 radiators on newer cars leak where the plastic tank crimps to the core. Enough to run the rad really low but not enough to drip on the ground. The radiator in the Duster was only replaced because the core had disintegrated from corrosion and insect impact....ugh, love bugs

The life of a Magnum (and 46RE question)

When I did mine ( 98 ram 1500 46re ), the only "mod" to the trans is to install a cable drive speedo unit. The trans speed sensor for the PCM is in a different spot than the speedo drive unit. PCM controls OD and lockup.

The life of a Magnum (and 46RE question)

I've put about 20k miles on my mpfi 360 / 46re setup in the last couple of years and it's awesome. Dropped in a 60-70k mile 360 with just a tune-up. I did end up putting on the hughes engines lower plenum plate because it was using oil, but other than that, stock efi, stock ecu and it's enough...

    Wiring Clean-up/Simplification

I think this should get you close, depending on what you used as a donor. The pinouts should be the same, but the wires might be a different color. http://dodgeforum.com/forum/2nd-gen-dakota/70233-2000-factory-service-manual-pfd-download.html
