The 2.02 valves won't need anything special to work and it will only cost a couple dollars more to have the installed, Now is the time to do it. That cam is kind of small for a 360, The 280 would be a better choice. Remember that you will need a converter that does not have the balance weights...
A real Hemi in race form will run you close to 20K by the time you have it all in and running and they are a high RPM piece, A big inch small block would be a lot less expensive. I know since I race both.
How much spring you will need is in part dictated by the shape of the cam lobe (profile) and RPM. You could always go to a little less rearend gear also, lol.
A pair of Holley 1850s (600cfm) would look correct and can be bought used super cheap. Or I'll sell you a new pair of the correct 770s and repo fuel lines for $1200.
I skipped a few pages in the middle but it sounds like it wants a little more valve spring pressure. A .060 shim might be enough to do it. My slant liked 32 degrees total timing also.
I've had 2 sets. I was one of the first to get the first batch of them, Waited over a year for them, lol. Both sets went on mild 360s and ran mid 11's. I'm thinking I'll try the RHS heads next though. You'll want to have a decent machine shop check them out before you bolt them on.
So I'm finally starting to assemble the new 414 for the green machine after the rods left the block last year and go to install the scat H beams on the Mahle pistons, No go. WTF?
Either the rods are to wide on the small end or the pistons are to narrow in the center or as my caliper says a...
