Apparently less than 60,000 km since the truck was new. I have probably put 2-3000km on it at most since I put the new cam, lifters and intake on.

I did Check the oil this morning before I started it up, as it has been sitting for a while, and I was about a 1/4 of an inch below the Full line. I will check it again hot and see if this makes a difference.

I just switched over to the modern Alternator and Voltage regulator (2Wire) and it is like a different car. It even seems to idle better (Probably the MSD was sucking a lot of juice)

do you have any poictures of the drivers side? I would also be interested in some closer up photos of the quarters in the "trouble" areas.

Turns out the pumpshot arm was advanced too much, cranked the little Screw/Spring thing back a couple of turns and everything is good, thanks for all the help.

ok one more question, no one has discussed squirters for Accel. pump. do you mess with the cams first, or the squirters?
