I'm thinking it your distributor look at the reluctor wheel really close if any have a tooth missing the other thing is make sure you have really good grounds simple test take booster cables and hook to the ground of the batteries and place on frame engine and see how it starts i had one once do...
very nice you should be in the 620-650 hp mark and torque should be in the 550-600ft- thats my guesse very nice build you might want 1/7/8 headers to make hear talk right.
ya 7500 is not going to be a problem iv had my 426 smallblock up to 8000 so you should have no problems just make sure your stuff is good or she will go bang hard but 7500 isnt going to be a problem for you.
well then whats the cams power band if solid you geet a little more if it is hydrolic about 200rpm befor your cam runs outyou want your car to stay in its power range.
hi guys i have a 426 smallblock the problem is it stales at idle when hot like when i go into the car show it will stale after idling for like 5 min its got a qf carb 850 pulls 13inch pounds of vacume electric fuel pump pressure set at 7.5-8 psi timming set at 12 digrres 31 full in , new gaskits...
i can bump it up havent tryed it yet this is my build 426 kit cam is 600 lift air gap intale tti 1/7/8 headers qiuck fule carb comp is about closer to 11/1 i can put it up some on the ititial timing wear should i aim for 16 and up.
all right it a 426 stroker any ways when you go to let the car idle for a while like if you were pulling into a car show it wants to stall after it idles for a while timing set a 12 degrees full in is 31 any ways cars temp is about 180 put new carb gaskets in it its got a qf carb 850 four corner...
i agree with strokerscamp if you roll on the throttle slow with the car off does it give a good shot or dribble .??holly have a lot of adjustments you can do before buying parts.
