Did it work out for you?? and 55 mph with what rear ratio and tire height?

So is camquest even more inaccurate? It just told me to expect just about 500 hp... Since i still have the timing cover off...I do have a 274/280, 564/570 comp mechanical roller tappet cam here too...would that help me at all? If I do install that cam, would I be safe with 2500 stall still?

Well as far as the headers go, I did find a link to a pair, but it says it wont fit with the 727 transmission?? It is also a column shift automatic.. Is there a different part number id need? ( What will the HP difference be in these vs. the shorty block huggers? )...

Thank you for all of your responses. I did forget to mention this will be a street and a seldom strip car its going into. It will have a built A518 auto, 2500 stall with 3.55 gears for now.. For the exhaust; I did have long tube headers with 3" collectors on it before, (and I still have them)...

Whats the difference between the 2? Are there any advantages vs. disadvantages? Like total miles you can get out of them? Performance only vs. not..? etc.. Whats your opinions? Thank you, -ANTHONY

Hi, I am almost finished building a small block 408 stroker engine. I was wondering about how much horsepower and tq I should Expect to have out of it. It has Aluminum Edelbrock performer rpm heads w/2.02's and 1.60's with pocket porting and are port matched to the edelbrock performer rpm air...

Ok, what do you think it could be that would make the pressure lower? Front pump, or the valve body leaking at the mating surfaces a little?

It was a transgo TF-2 shift kit it shifts kind of firm on its own from first to second and then it shifts firm shifting from second straight to 3rd lockup if its over 30mph...Sometimes if I do shift it manually, it will be a more firm shift, but...If i drive it easy, the earliest it will shift...

Any Ideas? I really don't have a book or knowledge on this LU trans...

Hi, I was wondering...I will have a 408 stroker and I want to know if a 1994 a500 I have access to will work. How can I beef this transmission up to hold up around 425 hp? What specific parts and pieces will i need to completely need to replace? I know I'm definitely going with a transgo shift...
