thank you for that. I passed that to my mechanic and he called. Im thinking he said the guys name was Randy but I could be wrong. Anyway, he said he did not have the parts to fix the 69 gt. Was a good idea, the year 69 is a hard year I guess.

How did you know that..that it was already modified by the builder with the circled brush grounded. I have taken the washer out of it and put it like that in the car...maybe thats why it isn't charging. I will need to get one of those tools from Amazon to check it like that. I thought I read...

I tried that and it still isn't charging. That's the way its in the car now, and checking the battery as it's running its going down still. I couldn't get it above 12.12 at the battery at 3krpm, took it to OReillys auto and it failed the test.
