I opted for a Wilwood MC/booster for this very reason. It's a bit pricey at just under $450 but it bolted right in and it looks and works FANTASTIC!

Take a look at the push rod where it connects to the pedal. It should be as close to level as possible. If the rod is mounted at an angle it decreases the pedal resistance. You might need to drill a new mounting hole in the pedal arm.

Did I forget to mention it's got a 4 speed manual shift it yourself because it's more fun transmission?

Right, this is why I'm changing the whole unit.

I made mine out of a piece of aluminum sign and used JB weld to fasten 4 threaded studs to to the back side that fit in the corners of the control opening. Painted it black to match the dash core.

This could save me a lot of money if this could be possible. My '73 Swinger is factory equipped with power front disc/ rear drum brakes. The master cylinder needs to be refilled about every 100 miles of city driving. There is no fluid leaking by the wheels or anywhere else so I'm assuming my MC...
