you say engine was rebuilt, was it bored & got new pistons ? I'm not sure, but I think aftermarket replacement pistons are even lower compression than the original, meaning even less compression.

I honestly don't know. I obtained this engine from a 5-6 year unfinished project car that owner died. had zero miles, only moved around inside shop. I tore apart & used my own Rods,pistons,heads. looked to be a quality rebuild, so I would say most likely. Tom

car has roll cage, so seat has to come out first and is still going to be a rough job. hence why I was hoping for the simple option.
