Thank’s for the lead, Richard! I guess what I should have said was that the Inland shifter takes an “oval” shaped boot- not the round boot used with the earlier Hurst shifter. Am I correct on that? I appreciate your help & advice since I’m learning as I build this power train. Yes, it is for an...
need a V8 steering link for a ‘64 Dart. Was comparing my slant 6 link to a V8 link from a ‘69 A body & found it was about 2 in. longer overall as well as having different rotation on the tie rod mounting holes. The whole casting was a larger diameter. Doesn’t look like I can substitute it...
Thank’s for the great info, Mattax! I appreciate the help. I’ve started reading the Chrysler thermoquad manual-a blast from the past-very cool. Hope I’all be a little more knowledgeable about them after studying this stuff!
Ok, thank you for that info. Appreciate the help! Do you know anything about the idle compensator valve? I didn’t find a new rubber gasket for it in the Walker kit. The parts breakdown with the kit doesn’t even show it! I found a picture showing it in a parts breakdown in the book I bought (SA...
The new accelerator pump seal isn’t leather nor does it have the little coil expander inside the lip like the original. The new seal seems to be some sort of rubber or neoprene material but it isn’t a very tight fit.
I am also rebuilding a TQ-a 6139S. I’m new @ these carbs so I bought the SA how to book on Carter/Edelbrocks. I’m using a Walkerkit #15543. It is missing the round rubber gasket for the idle compensator valve. In fact, the parts breakdown in the rebuild kit does not even show the idle...
Hi Joseph, I also could use a good rebuild guide for the TQ! Got a rebuild kit from Walker but the instructions are missing! Thank you for any help you can give!!! Tom Over
Very nice looking Dart! I'm jealous! Did you do engine swap recently? Haven't been following you till now. I'm planning on installing a 273 v8 with a 4 speed in my '64 Dart. It's a slant 6 auto presently.
Don't know specifics concerning advance amounts & other details. Just need whatever came stock on the factory 273 hypo engines produced between '65&'67.
It will be mated to an A833 4 speed tranny & installed in a 1964 Dodge Dart.
