    Trop's 73 Duster - Worklog

On boxing day I got real motivated and spent a few hours taping up the grille and did a blackout job on it, still leaving the original silver as highlights. Pretty happy with the finished look, goes well with the black car imo.

    Trop's 73 Duster - Worklog

Over the xmas break I have fitted a set of GPRS kick panel speaker pods. Quality on these is very nice, fit up perfectly and they have a very factory look once installed.

    Trop's 73 Duster - Worklog

This isn't a resto thread, its more a I'v got an hour or so spare and have been tinkering worklog. The car is a numbers matching black on black with the 340 and 727. It was restored by the original owner back in early 2000's and doesn't appear to have seen a lot of use since. It has found...

Nice car, looks great. I like the little e-zine thing, might do something similar with my cars.

Has anybody used this rodent repellant?

We had a mouse plague issue a few years back, peppermint oil mixed with water at 1:5 ratio sprayed around the garage once a week kept them out of my cars. Smells awesome too. Make sure get pure peppermint oil not an extract or essence though.

The small plates are because the car is on "club" rego. Basically you have to be a member of a registered car club and the car must be over 30 years old. We get very cheap rego and insurance (under $300 a year for my Duster, compared to $8-900+) but have extra restrictions on usage, ie I can...

Hi Gary, I'm from Griffith in rural NSW. As far as I'm aware this car wouldn't have been up Sydney way at all, previous owner was from Melbourne and he only did a couple hundred miles in the two years he had it. I will do a run Sydney next year, planning on getting in some good road trips in...

    hi from Denmark

Hi, I have 2 kids seats in my 73 Duster and have had the kids stroller and the big 3 wheeler off road pram in the boot of it together plus luggage when we took it out on a road trip. The boots in these cars is stupidly large, can easily fit more in this thing than I can in my wifes Mazda CX-7.

Cheers! The duster is a very rare car over here, you see a few B & E body cars around but American A body cars are very few and far between. I went on a cruise last weekend with around 500 other American cars and there were only 4-5 A bodies there in total compared with 100+ each for the...
