i think i got them....i set them at the lowest point on the cam..spins freely haveing bro checking them tomarow..i dont have a warm and fuzzy though ...

Well trying to set my valve lash on my 318...the guy gave me magnum 7.5 push rods..my block is a 76 with eddy heads ....now the first time i ordered the push rods i received mushroom type rods (273)i believe...well i cant get within specs these things seem to LONG..help me out fabo..i bought...
can someone direct me to a good balancer for my 65 273..i have timing marks on the right side not the left...well its a 65 273 crankshaft and timing cover on a 318 block.ive already sent one back to summit ..i called them explained the situation and they swore this trick flow tfs-19010 would...
I might be wrong but i read some where that the line on the shaft that runs the oil pump and drives the dizzy needs the be lined up from front to rear of car..(the grove on the shaft needs to be vertical..then drop in the dizzy when its a tdc
i need a timing cover for a pre 67 small block..the one has no timing marks on the cover..i have the little timing plate just need a front cover in good shape..the one i have is pitted to crap..thanks fabo:blob:
so i made a rookie mistake...ill admit it................
so now the balancer and the water pump are going back..getting a trick flow balancer from summit(pre 67)im getting a 273 water pump outlet on the drivers side...i was not able to find a high flow one which i wanted for my eddy heads...
im using a 273 forged crank...but that shouldnt matter..the timing cover is off the 318..its just these stupid marks that are built into it...this summit balancer is twice as thick as stock
The shop is slow so i pulled my 318 out and started working on it...installed oil pan and timing cover..proceeded to install my summit sfi damper...well everything was going smooth untill the damper stated hiting the timing marks built into the cover:mumum:....i looked at the summit sight for...

just food for thought i have a 625 demon on my 273...bought it in 07 runs good but the adjustment screw's for some reason just "free float"no resistance ...its hard to dail in...
