Something that just somehow, always makes me sad
It is a shame to see these vehicles just get crushed. I think about all the hours of labor that was put into making and producing these automobiles, from the steel mills to the showroom, The people who took pride in the manufacturing processes and also the "Made In the U.S.A." label. What does this all mean today? Not much. Consider that what Detroit was when these vehicles were being produced and what has Detroit become today,- Shuttered Factories and skyrocketing unemployment. I guess that this is what they call "Progress" I for one think it's a damn shame that this country has gone to hell in a hand basket as for manufacturing and what it once stood for. It really pains me to think of all of the people who are out of work and struggling just to put food on their tables. When will it ever end? I do agree that people who just turn their backs on what I consider a piece of Americana for a couple bucks for scrap is downright wrong. Oh well rant over..........
