Jump in and get in line and tell us who can or may make it this year :-D
This is my cabin fever vacation I have enjoyed for 2 years running thanks to brother Bill, as some of you know as Small Block here :happy10:

I'm looking forward to hanging out with you guys.

I'll be down there.

I wish they didn't stick so much swap meet stuff in the circle track. It makes it an unholy pain in the rear to get anything large to the truck.

Sounds like a great time, wish I was closer.
I remember my first time there, Thanks to Small Block, The wife and I had a blast and enjoyed millions of Mopars there and some good BBQ =P~ The coolers was full of the good stuff to :-D

I am counting the day's to get back to Small Blocks place and make another great trip this year. This will be my third trip :-D

Okay, it's time to 'fess up. I'm SERIOUSLY considering going to the show next month :-D :-D :-D but could use some pointers. Where's the most convenient place to stay motel-wise? (Billy would freak if I'm sleeping on someone's couch LOL.) I still have a bunch of stuff to look into (car rental, workload, etc.) but I'm thinkin' about it. This show is so big -- and so close! -- and I've wanted to go for sooooooo long ... it might be time.

Leanna,
If you book early enough you could probably find a good deal in downtown St. Louis or also look at Collinsville Illinois for some. Collinsville has a lot of hotels for good rates and the distance to the track is about the same as coming from downtown. There are also plenty of places to chose from to eat there also. Just stay out of East St. Louis unless you are going to the strip clubs :toothy10:

I checked out Memike's MMW link in his first post and found quite a few listings for hotels in Collinsville. Thanks Carl! As far as the clubs go, you can rest assured I'm much more interested in checking out the cars ... I'm not at all into girls. :-D

Leann, Check out the event website and see if you can stay at the host hotel. They have a block of rooms available at a discounted price. If there is any left.
Otherwise you could stay with me but I'll warn you the wife SNORES.

Lots of motels-hotels in south county all different prices, easy to get to the track.Crestwood has plenty-about ten miles from the track. If anyone has a problem finding a room let me know,im sure we can find you one.

Hey Jeff, they apparently still have rooms at the host hotel for $89/night.

LMAO @ the snoring wife though! [I was wonderin what that noise was.] <duckin>

Thanks for all the replies! Convincing Billy that I need to go is going to be the hardest part ................

I will be there. I got a great deal downtown St Louis. right off the freeway so a quick 15 min drive and I am there. Check the Hilton Gardens.

Thanks Keisler! And welcome to FABO. :-D There has to be something behind that user name ... do tell.

Well its where I work. Believe it or not I get paid to scroll through forums and look for Happy and not happy customers or potential customers. It will be my 3rd year at Monster Mopar. I love going to that area. The drag racing is great. It and The Mopar nats are my two Favorite show with the Mopars at the strip following a close third.

I have trouble getting him to take new pics of his own Mopar babe LOL.

Well you just make sure you come and I am sure we will not have a problem getting the pictures taken. Just make sure you bring that lime green swim suit :-D

Will be there, have only missed some of the first ones. Hope to meet more of you. I know I will find Bill and Mike at the swapmeet area. Can't wait. Tom

THis is always a great show. Out of all the shows I've been to, all over the country, this one is consistent and always at the top of the fun meter.

Who's all going to have a car in the show? I'm hoping to enter two cars this year one in judged and one in non judged, if there is enough of us I can make some calls to see if we can get a club area for everyone to park in.

Small Block need's to jump in here 8) We stayed about 10 minutes away and had some good restaurant's with some great live music and some good service with some good food and drinks at, all with in 2 minutes walking distant at the most. Where was we at Bill :read2:

I'd like to try and make it this year. Won't be bringing a car this time, maybe next year?!? I have people I could stay with, but would rather stay at a hotel so I don't bug them coming and going at all hours.

Where we stayin Bill?!?
