Powerglide

Setting up the car for a PG takes a bit more thought.
- Has your engine been dyno'd? Do you know the hp/tq peaks?

My .02:
- Spec the rear gear around what RPM you want to go through the end of the 1/4 mile at, 'ish.

- Spec the converter to launch the car and keep the rpm in the power band.

- Don't be shy, get a good efficient 8" converter that flashes hard and is spec'd to your combo. (it won't be cheap (600-1000), but it will be worth it) A proper converter is darn near the best thing you can do to lower ET.

Among the many good resources for PG advice is Lenny at Ultimate converters.
