i was wondering if any of the slant racers could direct me to a converter place... dacco sold me one that was rated for 2500, then when it flashes at 2k i call them and they asked my hp. then they tell me all there converters are rated @ 350hp?! so im looking for a 2800-3400 stall converter thats not 700 bucks...

anybody? its a 904 27 spline

thx

I'd give Frank Lupo's Dynamic Convertors a call 302-454-9203 and talk to Sean. He will ask you a lot of questions about the car, engine and transmission build, rear end, etc etc. Based on that info, they can build you a custom converter. Not inexpensive, but you get what you pay for.

I have a Edge racing converter from the guys there in Simi Vally Cali. They built if for my slant....and it hits nice and hard at just before 3000.

I have two edge converters for the slant six. They both have the small pilot for the crank, and the big splines for the late (68-up) trans. The newest one I haven't run yet. The other one, stalls at 3200 on my 170 engine, and 3900 on my 225 engine. Real happy with the convertor and thier customer service.

They are comparable to the converters out.....I want to say I am into mine for around $500, but would have to look for the reciept.I have had mine for 3 years now, and am REALLY happy!!

I have had my first Edge converter for about 8 years. They gave me excelent service. I broke the converter I was using, and had a Slant Six race coming up, and could not get my "good" converter repaired in time to make the race. I ordered the converter on Monday, custom build (3,000 stall on a 170 with nitrous, small engine pilot, large trans splines), had it at 10:00 am Wed over night air from Calf to Florida.
