Restoring a car without documentation

Matthon, thanks! Where can I get a copy of that data book?

Since this car has been messed with so much, it's hard to tell what's factory and what's been changed. Based on my observations (some pics attached) the VIN belongs to this car and the dash frame is original. The the gauges in the cluster may belong to the car, but the bezel does not. It is an A/C bezel and the firewall is non-A/C. The car came with a non-rally cluster, but is in pieces. Neither one is wood grain.

The car has the torque boxes, but someone watched too many episodes of the Dukes of Hazard. It also has an 8 3/4 with 3.23's and a sure grip. The tags are still in place so I doubt that has been changed. It also has the HD springs and torsion bars. You can't tell from the pic, but the bars measure .895.

It does have the trim on the pedals, courtesy lights and the mounts for the console. And judging by the floor I think it's a safe bet the car was red. But since there is no exterior paint, I have no idea if there were any stripes or not.

Talking this through helps a lot, thanks. If you can clue me in on any of the packages or where to get a data book it would be greatly appreciated. While I've done engines, chassis, floors and quarters, I have never restored a car for myself. The whole documentation thing is new to me.

Thanks again to everyone for the help.
