Ram tranny problems

I don't know what your mechanical level is but for what it's worth the torqueflite (I know yours is not called a torqueflite but that's what it is with an OD added) is by far the easiest auto trans. to rebuild IMO.

The only manuals I know of for your trans. are either the factory serv. manual or one of the ATSG manuals which are basically a factory serv. manual with a little added info. The ATSG manuals are pretty cheap.

As far as a parts list goes there is the basics of a rebuild which are the complete overhaul kit, a set of bands if the overhaul kit doesn't include them, a set of thrust washers, a set of bushings, and a few selective thrust washers. A tub of trans-jel (assy. lube) a filter and ATF. Since you don't have it apart it's hard to say what else you may need as there could be broken or worn out hard parts. Hopefully not but you never know until you get it apart.

BTW: how many miles does the truck have on it?
