this is only car my dad has held above my head for years... he hasn't wanted to do anything with it.. been sitting for 15 years in back of the shed with stuff piled on it... all my other cars are driver/show quality and ready to go. this has just been.. sitting for no reason.

long story short i get a call yesterday on my birthday from my dad on vacation and tells me my present in the 73 cuda and i can start doing whatever i choose on it.

took me all day to get it out from shed and running but it sounds good, its numbers matching 340 pistol grip 4 speed, 150 speedo, power brakes, steering, front rear sway. the 340 was done by him in later 80s and its very healthy. has a 200 shot of nitrous on it

frame is spotless, floors nice, needs 1/4 from rust in them (i have them already)

im gonna pull nose off, repaint engine bay and motor, new hoses brakes clutch etc.... and repaint the car removing vinyl top and adding billboard stripes.

but yea nice to call it fully mine. ill do it justice as i did my duster, amx, fastback cuda, vega and roadrunner

heres pics first time in light in 15 years

Diggin' the slots man! Nothing like that look.

Can't wait to see progress...lucky. :toothy10:

im actually gonna take alot of photos of this one and keep them.. disassembly cleaning painting etc so when people at car shows think the car was giving to me done turn key by daddy i can show them what everything i did...... i think im gonna keep the slots and polish them and paint the inner part of slot same color as the car(i did it on my vega)

i want to paint bumpers to look like the factory poly ones, im gonna paint motor all one color liek factory, paint the aluminum intake and get rid of chrome valve covers... only thing out of place will be the nitrous solenoids cause they stay... for the outside gonna go billboard decal i think in b5 blue metallic or ev2 orange with blacked out hood and top of the fenders as the green cuda i have looks like

and im not afraid to strip the car down to start.. fenders off nose, doors gut the interior.. motor out and do a piece at the time.. i should have it done by spring. im gonna go get a 3500ish loan from bank for 3 years for like 100 a month payment so i dont run out of money for the little stuff, new calipers, brakes, tail pipes, paint, body supplies, paint etc...

the 68 cuda i redid started off as a gutted shell filled with garbage, amx was all apart, vega was stock.... this time get to start with something all together that i heard rub before i take apart.. its nice for once

Kinda like my duster idea, I am going with B7 metallic, and hitting the hood and top of the fenders, doors and sail panels with flat black after I get a cage in it. I am building up a 438 stroker through 440source.com with ported stealth heads, 8 3/4 with 742 case and a 727, no no2 for me though. Got a scoop, gonna have sport mirrors and a go wing, 73 duster side strips, a 73 roadrunner style roof decal, some keystone classics.
Your cars got alot of potential, good luck and def. keep us posted!!!!

i wish i had bigger garage i sold, 71 ram air firebird, monte carlo ss, 72 roadrunner, datsun truck(fiberglass tilt nose, v8, ford 9inch), and a few other odds and ends cars over the years

i got the firedbird for 150 bucks and needs a paint job was it
datsun truck was good deal built and sold
monte was 500 and clean from old man... my mom wouldnt drive it so sold it
72 roadrunner was 900 and took the big block running gear from it and put a 318 and resold it
