The carbs are out of the box with the exception of rejetting the center. They sound crisp and clean when they open. Cylinder temps are great, and the plugs are fantastic. I think the key is to have new carbs, because the throttle shafts wear and even if you rebuild them, they still may pull air, unless you rebush them, and if I was going that far, I would buy new ones. After I get it in the car, I will start changing springs on the out boards as needed. Have you tried yours?
