Spring rate for rear coilovers

Because of the melt down this post disappeared, I had gotten one responce that said 170lb springs were used.
I need a spring rate that will be stiff enough for the road course but not to jarring for the trips to shows and cruises.
I got the QA1s and the 500lb springs speedway sent me, OH MY GOD!!!
Ive seen smaller springs in commercial trucks!
I can return the unused springs for others of the correct rating.
I could use some knowledge here.
