Anybody here ever take a complete new Hemi out of a new Chrysler 300

and put it in a 1970 Dart ? A buddy of mine keeps on telling me to do it with my spare Dart . Can get motor transmission and all electrics for about $4000.00 with the usual 90 day warranty . Do you think it is a good swap , what problems do you see if I go for it ?

If you want power steering then you need to go with an Alterkation set up or something similar. This will give you the room to get everything in there easily. If you want to run it as is in the car then you will need all the electronics and wiring you can get along with the cats or you will start throwing error codes without the o2 sensors. The one issue you will run in to is getting the transmission to work as they use the abs system and wheel speed sensors to work. Without them the car will not move. 5.7dart was experimenting with building his own tone wheel to get it to work and had th4e car moving under its own power but as far as I know it is not complete and tested yet. I have been kicking around the idea of using a newer jeep rear in the cuda to utilize the wheel speed sensors. From what i can tell it may be possible, the rear is slightly narrower and would need the leaf spring perches put on. Won't know for sure until I get my hands on one for a test fit. The 300 will use a sentry key system also so you will need the key and transponder ring that is in the car also.
