Anybody here ever take a complete new Hemi out of a new Chrysler 300

OK, how much did he engine cost?

I haven't seen a hemi worth using listed for less than I have in my engine, air cleaner to pan. And that's done in the car and running 11s.

Check out this article.

Look at this hassle and $$$ for 250 wheel horsepower. LOL

I'm not saying it isn't cool or different (if you're into that) to do a new hemi swap, I just can't see spending the money when you can have a higher horsepower conventional small block for a LOT less.
Sometimes you need to learn how to work around things. My long block was 450 bucks with a spun bearing BUT one of my friends is doing a stroker so I am sending my shortblock in as his core and taking his shortblock. 250 RWHP is laughable with a mild cam and some tuning I should have about 400-425 rwhp through manifolds and a manual trans. The 5 speed auto is the biggest PITA in the whole mix.
