My 70 Duster build

2JZGE is about 5 to 600 all day here hell i got a long block here at home i am willing to sell for 300 to you so you can start doing some study on them,

by the way a litlle knowledge dont do any harm so here it is some facts;

the M series toyota engines where desingned as a N/A engine from the get go and converted later to turbo aplication later it got many weak points that are cured and perfected on the 2JZ.

The 2JZ engine was designed as a turbo engine from the get go and then converted to N/A later for the USA MARKET LEXUS! so thats why with just a (thicker) turbo head gasket they can handle all that power in stock trim and i mean stock internals no fancy pistons or rods, the GE head outflow the GTE head this is necesary to achive the 220+ N/A horsepower they got, and when converted to turbo they are beasts,
you can hook up a GMTH400 trany behind them easylly or a Powerglide, i have seen many with torqeflites with good results, or any borg warner t5 or anything you can hook up to a chevy, farlly easy with the gm adapter plate and some fabrication.

A good advise and my opinion is, dont spend twice do it once and do it right ;) good luck my friend!

Anything i can help you let me know i am a toyota expert and have built many 1000+ whp 2JZ many 600+ 3TC turbos, and many other ones!
