Eddy dual Quad

yeah that is zactly what I was thinking. the 500's would suit the milder build much better.

I was looking at a different cams and I want to keep the duration down a bit. @ 0.50 my cam is 230 intake 236 exaust. that is on the ragged edge of where I want to be at with my converter and gear. but,
I cant find any better match for my application and the RPM range that I want to operate in . for the most part that is about all that the heads would really want and still be effective from off idle ( or as close as I can) to 6500 RPM.

I thought about loading up another case with a 4.10 or 4.30 gear for the track but , on a 26 inch tire the lil 440 might have its tounge hanging out a bit too much on the big end. I am right at 6000 through the traps right now. and it seems to be a pretty good combination. and it is still pretty drivable on the street.

I think it is pretty weird that there really is not alot of cam choices for big blocks for off idle to 6000.

the best one I found was 1500 to 5800 but it falls a bit short so I went with this one .

I thought it was funny I called com and told them what I was building and what I wanted and they told me that I should go with .525 mechanical cam so like a dork I bought it and a good friend of mine asked me if I was nuts. so, that cam is sitting on the shelf he said that it would be a total pain in the butt to deal with on the street. and I should use it only if I am going to just race the car.

he had a little 440 running 11:40's in an a-body. pretty much stock with 100 shot of spray. I was inpressed that he so little into it . this thing didnt even have frame connecttors ( was totaly ugly leaving ) and was 4 door.

I went with a little stouter combination and this is what I have. and it is a nice durable motor. that will live for a long time and make power down low. I used his engine and car for a base line and improved on it im hoping for some mid 11's on motor and if I spray it I am hoping for low 11's I think I am in the ball park . we will see :)

I never got a good pass last year because of my crap carb and I didnt dare spray it . so , I am not sure what it will even run with the combination I have. due to funds it was pretty much a cruise night car.

I thought that if I add the 2x4's and get my spray to work it would help it out big time and I can really see where I am .

Thanks for all of your input :)
