Air Compressor Question

Instead of making a new thread, i'd just like to ask here. What is the minimum, seriously bare minimum size tank, to paint a car with? Assuming I can get the right cfm and psi, would a 30 gallon tank suffice to paint my dart? Especially if I like take the hood and fenders off and paint those separate, then paint the main body in one shot? Would that work?
