The magazine article is using the large bolt pattern later style discs, (single piston) that mount on the front of the rotor. Your 1967 manual would be showing the small bolt pattern early style (4 piston) which mount on the back of the rotor.

Don't use that article, there will be other differences. Use these two references instead:

based on the first ref. it looks like my calipers should mount on the
rear of the spindle for a 1967. Is this a good assumption on my part
or did I mis read it?
