Rocky Mountain Dashes

Mark here, former maker of the RMD. SO much bad press. It is still a mystery to me how there can be bad feelings about a product where there was ALWAYS a "return-it-if-your-not-happy" policy. No questions, no charge. What more could be offered?

We decided to build a dash that could house round-dial gauges arranged like we wanted. There was no thought to factory placement. Didn't care. Wasn't the plan. We contracted the whole thing so as to offer a service. My brother and I are not machinists and relied on 6 vendors / suppliers to have the product built.

We built the original dash and decided to see if anyone else wanted one. We refined the process and tried to make the outer shape better, have the tubes fit better, have the welds fit better.... etc. We lost money for years as those vendors kept charging more. Closed shop when it was cost prohibitive, and there was just complaining.... Lost too much $$$$$$ to continue that process.

Funny, I was just thinking the other day about doin' those again.

I think you guys did a great job and had a great product. You closed up before I was to that point of the build but I see them all over the place and always think they look great.

Don't let those who complain get you down, many people love them. The voice of the unhappy is always twice as loud as those who are happy.....
