For Sale 1969 340 – Fresh Professional Rebuild & Crated
I have a fresh 1969 340 that was rebuilt earlier this year, still in the crate .
Ive owned this motor since 1979, running it a Dart. It was taken apart in 1982 with new pistons & bearings installed. It was reinstalled in the car in 1984, started a couple of times & then the car was stored until Sept 2009.
I lost storage last Fall & live 1/2 way across the country away now. I sold the car to someone who is restoring it, kept & sent the motor back to the shop that originally built it for inspection & refreshing.
Competition Automotive in Toronto, ON rebuilt it Feb 2010. They are an internationally known machine shop, with a long history of building durable high HP race motors. Currently they have Rolex endurance race teams among their many clients. They are extremely picky about what leaves their shop.
It was rebuilt to be a survivor street motor, anything that needed replacing was replaced, then it was crated & sent to me.
I was planning to use it in a new project, but sadly I can see thats not going to happen anytime soon.
I have the receipts & can provide more info to anyone whos interested.
This motor has a neat history, with the short block originally coming from "Big Daddy" Don Gartlis shop.
This is a rare chance to get a fresh, professionally-built, period-correct 1969 stock bore 340.
Asking $5,000, FOB Saskatoon, SK.
