HI, Brian T lke i said i was just kidding about putting a olds engine in a mopar. Has a oldsmobile engine ever won top fuel or pro stock? I don,t think so . I was just talking smack. I used to win a lot of bet,swith the Chevy guys,that thought that Mopar could not beat them in the quarter/mile. Sox & Martin - Dandy Dick Landy,Don Carlton -The Blue Max ,Don Garlits i did quite well betting with them . And with my 425 olds i beat a few bigmouth buick drivers . One of best street races that i witnessed were between 2 friends of mine Louis Garcia/70 Road Runner 440 -6pack -Danny Mullins 68 Chevelle 396/375 with laker pipes. Place chicago at larmie & lexington to laramie & roosevelt. They do their burn outs -stage , take off the chevelle is quicker out the hole, the road runner catches him , gets about a 2 car lead and wins. Those were the day,s . Mr. Norm,s Grand -Spaulding Dodge had the 340 demon,that were the best sounding small blocks ever . And you could get a supercharged version from Mr.Norm. If i ever hit the power ball . a 605 indy-cyl head hemi dart will sit in my drive way,and ahost of other mopar super cars.
