Another Molding clip question.

I just got my vinyl top in from http://dantesparts.com/vinyltop.html. I havnt test fit it yet, but it looks like good material and stitching.

Since nobody has any leads on the clips, and I've emailed every A-Body specific supplier I could find, I'm going to try other methods. I'll post what I end up using.

I still have the metal studs in place. I have a few good clips left.. but I think they may break if I remove them from the trim. I would like to try and make a mold out of them, then cast some in resin backed with fiberglass strands. They won't be anything special, but I think it may work.

Or I may just end up pouring the resin directly into the trim and drill holes for the clips to enter. This would also work with screws if you dont have studs. The drilled holes could be filled with silicone or even jb weld for a tight fit. The resin would break before the JB weld, so removal would not be too bad...
