The second guy is right about the insurance for a sports car which is why he is looking for a four door import. My sister-in-law gave my 17 year old daughter a 1991 BMW 318is for her 18th birthday. The insurance was around $1,000 since it was the sports model. After a few months we went out and got her a 1974 Dart Custom. Her insurance still was around $500 because of her age and it was a v-8 (318). She had fun with the Dart (Dad, look what I can do with the rear tires.....scrrreeeeeechh).

I would trade the BMW for the Dart but he wants a non-sports model. The Beemer handles like a dream and gets great gas mileage. I have been thinking about using it to try my hand at road course racing.
