Finally swapping cams

Dont know about the Lunati, but I think at 9.5 cr you would get better results with the Comp Cam XE284 vs. the Mopar one. You may bleed off cylinder pressure more so with the MP unit. The Comp Cam unit is designed for better performance for the CR you will be running. When I built my stroker engine 5 years ago, I bought the 408 kit (9.7:1 pistons) from Muscle Motors. Mike Ware (MM) wasnt impressed with that same Mopar cam I was going to order from him, said their were better and recomended the XE284 to keep some cylinder pressure at our altitude here. It worked great. Last season I upgraded to one of their custom ground mechanical cams, the XE284 went into our new 360 powered street driven Duster as a hand down. My 360 build sounds very close to yours except I run J-heads, but same carb, intake ,9.5" converter 1 5/8 headers, 3.91 gears. Iam as happy with it in the 360 as in the 408, idles well, sounds awesome and pulls hard up through the entire rpm range.
