Weird carbs on ebag...
Well I'm not sure what they are calling "regular carburetors" but I've rebuilt at least 100 carbs of different varietys and few have anywhere close to that many parts. The Carter AFB probably don't have many more than 50 at most. Also I noticed you say they state "it has no choke or accelerator pump and therefore cannot flood out". I can see the choke acting up causing a flooded condition but usually an accellerator pump only causes flooding when the accellerator pedal is pumped too much when the engine is shut off so that is not to be considered a part error but human error. Also what about the float and needle and seat? Doesn't this carb have them? If so it can flood out. The needle and seat are usually more likely to cause problems flooding from dirt/debris getting in them than anything else. Like Chuck said they look like the predators that also made the same claims. I also tried to tune a predator on a 350 Chevy pulling truck for a guy and had no better results with it as far as power than a 650 Holley. And it was extremely cold natured. Ford experimented with the variable venturi carb for a couple yrs. but it apparently wasn't successful cause they went back to the regular Motorcraft 2 barrels before finally going to fuel injection.
