Anyone like bluegrass??

I have always been a rocker, classic, hard-rock, metal, and particularly progressive rock and metal. My parents were always country music fans but I never could dig it... still can't actually (like most forms of "pop" music). My dad also loved bluegrass, and while it was never my thing, I could appreciate the musicianship. Just a little too old timey for me back then.

Fast forward 20+ years... still a hardcore rocker but some of these modern bluegrass players are up to and in many cases surpass the talent level that hasn't existed in rock music for many years (besides the few that are still around from way back when - these new bands just ain't got it for the most part).

I have seen Alison Krauss and Union Station 3 times... went all the way out to Vegas to see them the first time. Seen Rhonda Vincent and the Rage three times, Cherryholmes twice, Ricky Skaggs once... Dan Tyminski twice, and Jerry Douglas once (the last two are Union Station members). All good stuff. Also agree with Rocky65 on Nickel Creek.

Last time I saw that yellow68runner dude he was blasting some funky Canadian music... :headbang:
