I stopped at the garage to take out some trash tonight and I pulled off #1 & 3 main bearing caps while I was there. #1 was almost clean, and #3 was about as fonged-up as #2, which was toast. Bearings don't lay in the main caps either, they're kinda curled up. I know I should just drag the whole %$#@#$% thing to a machine shop and say "fix it" ..... but the pockets, they not too deep, eh? :|
