Offy dual 1bbl

Haven't run one yet but I've done some homework. With stock 1920 Holleys you really have to do some fiddling with the jets and idle mixture to get them to run right. Each carb is only flowing half as much air now, and from what I've been told, its a royal PITA to get set up right. Once that happens though, it is well worth the effort. The twin Offy has good flow and is not all that finicky since it has a balance chamber between the plenums. Water heat will give you all the carb heat you need since it is not that critical. The downside is a slight bog, the stock one barrel air cleaners won't work, and you have to come up with some sort of choke linkage. I'm using twin Carter/Webers off an Escort to get around all that since I'm too lazy to spend all that time fiddling with carbs. They are sized about right to be plug and play, and have electric chokes. If you want to see what they look like, go to photobucket and image search slantedview.
