petty blue twister(1972)...............conclusion

1971 was the last year for the coveted Rallye Instrument Clustre in ANY "A" Body .

"TB3" was "Petty Blue" , from 1964-1971 ; it was special order , and was confined to the south-east U.S.
For 1972 , the colour was reassigned as :
- "Super Blue" ( Dodge )
- "Basin Street Blue" ( Plymouth )
- "999" ( et al. ) was dropped , as the actual colour code was added to the fender tag .

As far as I know , all Twisters in '71 & '72 had the Shark Tooth Grille ; the Twister package continued through at least the 1974 model year .

IMO : keep the interior stock ( dash , gauges , etc. ) ; slip a stock-looking 340 into that sucker , with a bangin' 727 behind it ; upgrade the brakes to the '73 & up single piston calipres ; drop a 5x4.5" blot pattern 8.25" diff in it , with 3.55's ; slap some 15x7" or 15x8" Rallye Wheels on 'er with the '70 - '71 centre caps , and leave the trim rings off ; dual exhaust without tips ( just turn downs ) .

That'll make a sweet Duster when you're done !

All 72's did NOT come with the sharkstooth grille - hood scoops or rallye's. These were all option's on the 72 Twister's. The hood treatment is a combination of tape stripe and paint.
