Did the 74 duster come with 225 or 198 origionally???

I understand why they had the 170 and the 225 but never knew why the 198 ?
Even in the 70's when I was in my early 20's and starting out as a mechanic. I thought they were all 225's. Anybody know "The rest of the story"??

My understanding is the 198 was made for mileage. Since adding smog requirements in the early 70's the 170 didn't have power to do the job.
