So Cal
Though I would share my collection with you.
1978 Yamaha SR500 Street Tracker Hooligan bike.
1971 Harley Davidson XLCH Sportster.
1979 Yamaha RD 400 Daytona Special.
The two Yamahas are bikes I wanted back when I was in High School.
So I grew up,got a job and was able to find/buy them.I went through both of them restoring them to there present state. The Harley my stepfather built and left me after passing away of cancer. He raised me,and taught me how to build bikes and cars.He was a great stepfather,I was so lucky to be raised by him,I will never forget him !!!
Fun bikes,good stuff !!!!!
Thanks.

Absolutely, love you 78 Yamaha, do you have Progressive springs on the rear. I have a 1983 Suzuki GS850 which I, it has a Vance and Hines header, Pods, dynatek ignition and coils, and absolutely purs like a kitten.

I have 1981 Honda CT70 (Trail 70), a 1969 Honda Z50 (missing parts) and a 1941 scratch built aluminum motorcycle my Grandfather built. He was working at a washing machine factory that converted to making DC-3 parts during the war. He strapped a Johnson Ironhorse washing machine motor to a homemade riveted aluminum frame. It might just be the first aluminum motorcycle ever built?

He copied the look of his brother inlaw's 1928 Grindlay-Peerless, which he coveted but couldn't afford one of his own so he built one.

BW photo is my grandfather with my mother, circa about 1944.

Other photos are me.

No Jayson, the rear shocks are a economical oem replacement shock.Didnt want to buy shocks that cost me more than the bike.LOL

It handles good enough, just a cruiser.

Your GS sounds like a screamer, with that 4 into 1 (I presume) Vance and Hines.

No, but my Dad has a 1967 Kawasaki 100 Superlube that he bought new and only put about 100 miles on. It is a time capsule. It still has all of it's originality including the book rack and whitewall tires.

Yeah, it has a 4 into 1 exhaust. Yeah, it can scream it will blow my friends Yamaha R6 away until around a 100mph.

72 Honda CL350 (my brother still has)
67 Honda 160
67 Honda 350 Dream
80 Kawasaki LTD1000
85 Harley FXWG (wide glide)

Sold the last one, the harley in 97 when I had a guy ready to pay twice what I paid for it, and I owed the IRS a chunk. Bought an a-body vert to replace it, mama was tired of the ***** pad anyway.
