99 durango for sale soon
Hey guys......this isn't technically a for sale ad (yet) as we are not ready to get rid of it just this moment.....but soon we will be (within a month or so give or take).
so I was just putting this out here to see if maybe there is anyone here on FABO that may be interested and see what kind of cash /trade /cash&trade offers there may be....and MAYBE be able to set a deal up in advance.
The Durango has been great we just want to upgrade to something else for my wife.
no knocking or ticking or smoking or leaking, tranny shifts great,4x4 engages with ease
I will try to list some of the basic info I can think of off hand and some of the good and bad aspects aswell.
1999 Dodge Durango,142,000 miles, dark metallic purple in color with a dark gray/almost black leather interior with suede dodge ram logo's embroidered on the head rests,5.9l V8 ,auto trans, 4 wheel drive with 4hi,4low,4 wheel part time (basically a selectable all wheel drive),neutral and 2 wheel (I think this t-case is refered to as the select track I want to say).
as for the good....
it has full leather interior, power seats, dual front air bags, rear a/c,rear defrost, rear wiper,3rd row seating, digital overhead display with compass and temperature and fuel milage info and what not,4 wheel ABS,tow package, fog lamps, roof rack, privacy glass, running boards, body color painted window vent visors on all 4 doors, body color painted duck bill windshield visor, keyless entry,cd player with infinity sound system, rear cargo storage,power/heated mirrors, autodimm rearview mirror (tints green when it detects headlights behind you.
I put all new rancho shocks on the truck, fresh oil change,2 new 31" tall rear tires, front tires still have 75% tread atleast, new turn signal module 2 days ago,new cap, rotor, plugs and wires and air filter and fuel filter a few months back, newer battery has tow package as I mentioned but is also all wired for pulling a trailer or boat or whatever is needed, the previous owner was the daughter of a local impound lot owner and he made sure that all maintenance was regularly kept since new,it runs and drives great and is very reliable, it gets pretty good mileage for being a 360 v8 suv (roughly 17 highway and 14 city),newer wiper blades, water pump and starter and alternator and serp belt were replaced a few years back ,a couple new sensors have been replaced in the past few years.
I can't think of much else off the top of my head but I am sure there is more.....I have some receipts for some of the things that have been done to it. clean and clear title also.,never had any body work done or anything like that.
some of the bad things I can think of are, the drivers side front fender has a golf ball sized rusthole in it (as to why the rust gather in such an odd spot I do not know lol) otherwise the rest of the body is pretty clean...a couple small spots in the paint here and there where the paint has some rust bubbles under it but nothing to serious and nothing that should poke its head from under the paint for years to come, the running boards as on most vehicles are rusty and nasty looking so I was just planning on taking them off, wouldnt hurt to put a new set of brake pads on it in the next few months....still work good but its about time for them to be changed.,cooling system could probably use a flush because the heat is "OK" but nothing spectacular.,parking brake does not work ( I think the cable just came unhooked at the pedal),we lost the keyless entry remote but MAY be able to find it....otherwise you would need to get a replacement.,torsion bars need to be lowered a couple turns...the durango use to have 1" lift blocks under it in the rear for a taller set of tires and the torsion bars were raised to level it out and when the blocks were removed by the previous owner he never turned the torsions down and I never bothered with doing so either.one small tear in the drivers side seat from average wear, one of the speakers in the rear is blown.
sorry if it sounds like alot, I just want to be honest and explain in as much detail as I can.
kelly blue book prices the durango in good condition at $4,970.00 (here is a link to the pricing)
http://www.kbb.com/used-cars/dodge/...3|true|205323|true|205361|true&mileage=142000
but with it having what flaws it does I was thinking $3,800.00 or best would be fair given that the blue book value is what it is (even in fair condition they book it at $4,420.00).
again, its open to cash offers, trade offers possibly or maybe even cash and trade.
located in southern MI
like I said before, its not up for grabs right now being that we wont be looking at getting a replacement vehicle for around another month or so from now.....I just wanted to put this up and see if there was any interest.
please ,I didnt post this add for criticism so unless you are not interested or do not have any offer and just plan on making comments that would not benefit the thread than do not bother posting.
IF you are interested and maybe want to talk some sort of a deal through than please feel free to PM me with any offers and we can from there PM or email one another about it.
sorry for the long post....just trying to mention everything I could think of.
thanks for looking guys and thanks fabo for the space .
