70 340 duster worth picking up?
My father and I know of a pretty rotten duster in a nearby junkyard. It has been there for years. Every time we were there I remember thinking what a shame it was. Here is what the car is"
1970 duster, orgional 340 manual car (drivtrain long gone). Color is burnt orange with a white top and white interior. Car has factory stripes across the tail, dont remember if it had stripes down the side. It has been picked over pretty well. I think all the glass is there, but I think other than that the body has been picked over pretty well. I dont think there is a useable panel on the car. No rear suspension, not sure on the front. No hood, grille, everything else is pretty beat up. Roof is very rotten because of vinyl top.
Ive never really looked it over other than externally to see if it could be saved, it just looks so bad. If the car had solid frames, I would say that it would be worth picking up, with all the replacement metal now. If the frames are rotten I would leave it where it sits. Is this a rare car? Would it be worth picking up if the price is right(which Im sure it would be). If my current description is too vague, then just imagine a car with doors fenders, quarters, tailpanel, roof and decklid all shot, missing alot of pieces. When spring comes around I think we are going to take another look at it, but just wandering what the rarity was.
