need some help with suspension

so i am working on my 74 duster i am rebuild the front end right now i am working on the lower part and not sure how to get the Torsion Bar out ? also i was wonder if my car did not come with a sawy bar can i intsall one and what size should i get i was thinking about getting 1.5 in swat bar. also would a larger Torsion Bar help the car from hitting the bumb stop all the time?? and the last question i have is there a chart that tell me what the number mean at the end of the Torsion Bars?? thanks for the help also should add the car is a slant six and i plan on putting a 318 in it
