I read the link and question the cost of the replating the bezels. You "think" you paid $40? I had mine redone 6 years ago from a reputable shop in CAL to a tune just under $100. They were in similar condition to yours. Rechroming ain't cheap these days due to the policies enforced by the EPA, chemical disposal. I just had a pair of bullet fender turn signals rechromed for $80 and that was fair compared to other shops that quoted them. No pitting and the copper strike was just bleeding thru. If he charges $40 to redo them, he ain't making money. Just my $.02
