The smallest roots blower off of a Detroit Diesel is a 2-53 or 2-71 but the smallest one that was use for performance applications is a 4-71. Here is a link to one on ebay.

You can use the stock end plates for a performance application you have to use aftermarket ones like Weiand or someone.
