Just got my new intake manifold!

I bet you can get an open element air cleaner with a dropped base (They were commonly used on Chevrolet big blocks) and the thinnest element you can find and it will clear.Also you may have to replace the carb stud with a bolt the exact lenth to hold the breather on instead of the wingnut.I have to run one like that on my Chevelle because of hood clearance.Without the drop base it just wouldn't work.I also used the really thin K&N air filter.It just does clear,actually it rubs the hood insulation slightly but It clears the hood.
