Just got my new intake manifold!

Has Torker 340 stamped on it, whats your opinion on it?
Well you asked and here it is.

It'll make some good power. I myself would use it with a high (Numeric) gear ratio and stall converter to get me in the powerband of the big cam I'd use with it.
Get me off the line and into the bottom of the rpm scale that I would want to be at. (Or in otherwords, where peak torque is and not lower)

I would have work done on the intake if I could. If you can DIY, rather than pay, you'll be just that much better. Ask for advice on the matter from a shop that does this. The single plane Torker and others could stand a bennifit from a port matching and plenum work to help fuel distrubution. (sp) A problem with single plane intakes.
I myself would use a square bore carb. If I had money to spend on it, I would look at a Holley HP or Demon. (Most inatke mods I have ever read about or seen done are making use of a Holley or Demon squarebore carb. Fuel distribution is the reason why.)
Fine tune with spacers.

IMO, the Torker intake line is an excellent intake to use on the cheap. But it works, OK, in a narrow window.
